pencil drawing, 8.5 by 11 inches, a sketch for a woodblock print
Another exercise in digital painting, this time from a photo. Focused on getting a coherent value structure.
Learning to paint digitally. I started out with creating just a grayscale image and then layered color on top of it.
Done using Photoshop, painted from observation.
More experiments with image and text.
With all the cards laid out, the size is approx 8 x 10 inches. Ink and watercolor.
Experiment with image and text. Inspired by something one of my professors said—“the skull is the flower on top of the spine.”
8 x 10 inches, ink.
For my Intro to Digital class, I had to create 2 digital collages inspired by a story or poem using Photoshop.
The first collage is inspired by “The Hollow Men” by TS Eliot. The second is inspired by “Helen of Troy does Countertop Dancing” by Margaret Atwood.
